A UK-based producer of premium juices, juice drinks, fresh juice and smoothies, is increasing its water use tracking data, by working with Water Plus, as part of its sustainability actions.
Sunmagic Juices has just signed up a second of their large manufacturing sites, at Headcorn, Kent, through a competitive tender.
The drinks manufacturer is also having additional water tracking technology installed at both its Nelson and Headcorn production sites, to gain daily water use data that can be easily analysed for trends and identifying efficiencies, through Water Plus.
“Water Plus provided frequent updates, smooth and easy interactions and all the information we needed for this competitive tender. The switch of an additional production site also went well and has been a smooth transition...
We’re looking forward to working in partnership with Water Plus as we gain more detail around our water use at the two sites, along with Water Plus providing recommendations around improvements and efficiencies for trade effluent.”
Stephanie Gill, Procurement Manager at Sunmagic Juices Ltd
At its Nelson site, in Lancashire, Sunmagic now has an electric fleet of forklifts, which have reduced CO2 emissions.
At both Nelson and Headcorn, LED efficient lighting has been installed, reducing power needed to light the factory by 50%, and solar panels have been installed to the roof of the Headcorn facility enabling them to generate their own power to run a % of operations off, all under their sustainability actions across the group.
